ARA Australian Cycling Team to compete at first round of 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup in France
May 28, 2025

A mix of experienced riders and young blood will drop in for the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the first round of the 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup in Montpellier, France this week.
The nine-rider squad includes three-time world champion Logan Martin and Paris 2024 Olympics bronze medallist Natalya Diehm.
Both riders showed red hot form at the Red Bull Featured competition in the UK in April where they both finished second overall, with Diehm executing two world first tricks – an alley-oop tyre grab front flip and a no handed front flip.
They will compete alongside teammates and seasoned campaigners Alec Danelutti, Jaie Toohey and Sarah Nicki who return to the Australian team colours for the first time this year.
Up-and-coming riders Mylee Toohey, Xavier Gilbee and Keegan Pryor join the ARA Australian Cycling Team in Montpellier as part of AusCycling’s development program for emerging athletes.
Meanwhile, national champion Brandon Loupos, who finished second at Montpellier last year, has suffered a concussion and broken cheek bone in practice and will unfortunately miss out on competing this week.
Practice gets underway today, followed by qualifications on Wednesday and Thursday, semi-finals on Friday and finals on Saturday.
