AusCycling is accepting expressions of interest (EOIs) from road cyclists to compete for the ARA Australian Cycling Team during the upcoming summer of cycling.

The national team is a fixture of the Australian leg of the UCI WorldTour, where our homegrown riders regularly animate the races − most recently, winning the king and queen of the mountains jerseys in the Santos Tour Down Under.

EOIs are now open for the 2026 Santos Tour Down Under, the Surf Coast Classic and the Mapei Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race this January and February.

AusCycling has identified these opportunities as "upper pathway" activities, meaning a higher focus will be given to under-23 riders who are currently competing in UCI-registered teams.

Selectors will consider factors such as:

  • Current professional riders who can perform a role of team leader or mentorship;
  • Emerging professional riders;
  • Ability to perform a team support role; and
  • Ability to achieve stage and/or general classification performances.

Expressions of interest will close on November 21.
