AusCycling has named 10 athletes to represent the ARA Australian Cycling Team in the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships.
Six men and four women will contest the semi-finals on October 3, vying for a place at the live final in Abu Dhabi.
Elite national champions Tilly Field and Joshua Harris will lead the way for Australia.
They are joined by the top four men and women from this year’s AusCycling Esports National Championships: Talia Chambers, Imogen Alton and Kate Trdin complete the women’s squad, while Marc Gates, Andrew Downie and 18-year-old Lindon Milostic will race the men’s event.
Lindon’s father, veteran road cyclist Peter Milostic, has also been selected to race alongside his teenage son.
Jonathon Cridland rounds out the team that will be hoping to replicate Australia’s success at this level, having won the esports world title in 2022 with Jay Vine.
The selected athletes will compete alongside any riders who have qualified through the MyWhoosh Public Qualifiers.
The semi-finals will consist of three stages: a flat points race, a punchy stage, and an elimination-style “chase” race on a mountain climb. The top 20 men and women will qualify for the live final on November 15.
