Glasgow Daily - August 13
Aug 13, 2023
The penultimate day of competition gave us a mixed bag: some more great medals, but not everything went how we’d hoped.
Results-wise, our para-cyclists flew our flag the highest, winning four medals to wrap up competition in Dumfries. Well done to Darren Hicks, Emily Petricola, Meg Lemon and Paige Greco!
A crash-marred under-23 men road race saw our boys fall out of contention. Tomorrow, our elite women will contest their road race, which will surely be frantic, stressful and exciting to watch.
At Tweed Valley, our elite riders were in action in Olympic-distance cross-country. Sadly, despite a brave fight, we had to walk away without the results we were chasing.
The good news is, in BMX Racing, all but two Aussies have progressed through to tomorrow’s finals.
All eyes on a big final day in Glasgow!
