2020 Paralympic Games Australian Cycling Guide

The Tokyo Paralympic Games will offer gold medals in 51 events in the disciplines of road and track between 24 August and 6 September. Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games Schedule

Three-time Paralympic gold medalist Carol Cooke and dual Paralympic champion David Nicholas spearhead the 12-rider Australian team.

The Team is highlighted by a host of reigning world champions in Cooke, Nicholas, Alistair Donohoe, Paige Greco, Amanda Reid, Darren Hicks and Emily Petricola, with seven riders set to make their Paralympic debuts.

TRACK CYCLING

At the Tokyo Paralympic Games, three different track cycling events – Time Trial, Individual Pursuit, and Mixed Team Sprint.

The Track Cycling competition will be held at the Izu Velodrome located in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, 120km southwest of Tokyo.

ROAD CYCLING

There are three events in the road cycling at the Tokyo Paralympic Games – Road Race, Time Trial and Mixed Team Relay - all to be held at the Fuji International Speedway.

The road races will be the first cycling event held at the Games on 31 August, with the road races and team relays to be held from 1 September.
