Sixteen Australian riders are set to wear the green and gold on home soil when they line up for the elite races at the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup, WA.
The ARA Australian Cycling Team features riders who have been selected by AusCycling, as well as those who have qualified through the UCI Gravel World Series.
Two-time gravel national champion Tiffany Cromwell will lead the charge for Australia’s elite women in her last race before retirement.
The South Australian is no stranger to the gravel roads around Nannup, having won the SEVEN gravel race three times previously, and will be ready to go out with a bang.
Joining Cromwell is Oceania gravel champion Nicole Frain.
Nicole Frain returns to the ARA Australian Cycling Team for the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships.
The Tasmanian has enjoyed an impressive 2026 campaign with four Gravel World Series wins this season.
2026 Devil’s Cardigan winner Holly Harris, as well as Ella Bloor, Sophie Byrne and Tori Barry complete the women’s squad.
Former gravel national champions Connor Sens and Mark O’Brien are among the 13 Australian men set to line up at Nannup in the elite men category.
Connor Sens will compete in his fourth UCI Gravel World Championships at Nannup, WA.
Also qualifying for Worlds are Harry Bebbington, Mark Chong, Oliver Johnston, Tasman Nankervis, Freddy Ovett and Brent Rees.
Rounding out the Australian team will be Oliver Stenning and Joel Green, who were selected by AusCycling’s National Selection Panel. Brendon Davids was selected but has withdrawn due to injury.
Additional Australian riders may still be able to qualify through UCI Gravel World Series events until September 26
Next month’s event on October 10 and 11 will mark the first time the UCI Gravel World Championships have been held outside Europe.
The challenging course features more than 80 per cent unpaved surfaces across its length.
The elite men will tackle the 144km course with 3,713 metres of elevation gain, while the elite women will race across 125.6km and 3,179 metres of climbing.
Both elite women’s and men’s races will be broadcast on SBS On Demand.
