Four rising talents will fly the flag for the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the 2026 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Hulst, Netherlands, with all set to make their debut on the sport’s biggest stage.
Junior riders Alana Fletcher, Alicia Reynolds, Oliver Grande and Hayden Vimpani were confirmed by the AusCycling National Selection Panel for the Championships, which run from January 30 to February 1.
Grande and Vimpani will line up in the junior men. Grande is the reigning national champion, while Vimpani claimed the overall national series title after a consistent season.
The pair recently returned from a week- long UCI cyclo-cross training camp in Switzerland, alongside 25 riders from 15 other nations. They wrapped up the camp with a strong hit out at the fourth round of the Swiss Cyclo-cross Cup. Vimpani finished a determined 13th, just outside the top 10, and Grande placed inside the top 30.
In the junior women, Bendigo’s Alana Fletcher continues her breakout year as both the current national champion and national series winner.
She will be joined by Alicia Reynolds, who has spent the past few months sharpening her race craft in England’s Hope Supercross Series.
