2023 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships Team Announced

Nov 10, 2022

AusCycling can confirm the athletes selected to the Australian team to contest the 2023 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships which will be held from February 2-5, in Hoogerheide, Netherlands.

Three riders were selected from the applications received to compete at the CX World Championships, the most since 2019.

Tristan Nash, will make his international debut in the Under 23 competition.

The Western Australian claimed the silver medal at the AusCycling CX National Championships in Wollongong earlier this year and can’t wait to take on the best in the world.

“Stoked to be ripping the cross bike on European soil, especially at a World Championships”

Talia Simpson, who won the Under 23 women’s national title earlier this year in Wollongong was selected but will not be attending.

However, the South Australian will take part in the CX development trip to Japan next month and compete in the UCI C2 double headers.

The final athlete to represent Australia in the Netherlands is Sam Northey from Victoria.
